On the PC the KeyVR interface consists of two windows:
The mirror rendering (right)
The desktop UI (left)
In the Mirror rendering you can follow what the user wearing the headset= sees.
In the bottom of the UI you can choose to hide/attach/detach the mirror = view from the UI. You can also go into full screen in which case the mirror= view will fill the screen. Press ESC to exit full-screen.
On this page:
File menu:
Open=E2=80=A6 Browse to find the scene (BIP/KSP file) y= ou want to experience in KeyVR.
Open Recent Lists the most recent scenes you have used.=
Bake materials Toggles whether the scene you launch wil= l show baked materials. The first time you enable this option, KeyVR will c= ache the baking data.
Remove baking cache Enables you to clear the baking dat= a.
Preferences=E2=80=A6 Launches the Pre= ferences dialog.
Exit Close the KeyVR application.
Help Menu:
Report problem If you experience crashes or bugs you ca= n let Luxion know here.
Activate license=E2=80=A6 This option enables you to ac= tivate a different license.
Show License Information=E2=80=A6 Here you can find inf= ormation about the active license.
Manual=E2=80=A6 Link to manual.
Log=E2=80=A6 Access to error/warning log.

This section gives you information about the state of the headset and co= ntrollers. It also enables you to set the mode for each controller to help = or guide the user in VR.
View Mode: Here you can choose between Desktop and VR v= iewing mode. If the headset is connected it will default to the VR mode, wh= ere the mirror window shows what the user sees in VR. If you switch to Desk= top mode, you can control the camera in the mirror window with the sam= e mouse controls as in KeyShot:
Tumble: Left mouse button drag
Pan: Middle mouse button drag (Hotkey: Ctrl+Shift+Left mouse button)
=Dolly: Scroll wheel (Hotkey: Alt+Right mouse button)
XR Mode: Toggles the XR mode. When XR mode is enabled, = the environment is replaced with a feed from the headset=E2=80=99s external= camera - allowing you experience your model in your current real-life surr= oundings. This option only works correctly in combination with XR-capable h= eadsets.
Menu This locks/unlocks the VR Menu. Locking the Menu p= revents you from accidentally switching between Tools in VR mode. You can s= till switch between Tools using the sidebar in the Monitor interface.
= li>Left/Right Controller: Here you can choose the current = mode for each controller and if needed switch modes. The various modes are = described in the section about the VR Interface.
Here you can select what content, environment and viewing positions is u= sed in the scene - just as you can inside VR via the controller menu. This = also enables you to guide the user in VR.
Model Set: This enables you to control which Model Set = is currently shown in the scene.
Camera: All cameras in the scene can be selected via th= is drop-down list. A click will transport the headset to that location.
=Environment: All environments in the scene can be selec= ted via this drop-down list. A click will change environment.
Screenshots: During the KeyVR experience you can take s= creenshots of what you see, these will be stored in the default images fold= er on your PC.
Scale: Enables you to set your own size in the VR space= . The slider lets you scale your own height between 1/1000x and 20x.
Units: Set the units used for the Measure tool= and Snapping.
Snapping: Toggle snapping. Used in the precise move too= l, measurements and in-hand object rotating.
Snapping Scale: When snapping is enabled, you can adjus= t the scale of the grid it snaps to.
Physics: Start or stop the scene physics. Every unlocke= d object in the scene is interpreted as a separate rigid physical object th= at can be manipulated with VR controllers in "Move Object" mode. With physi= cs on you can experience the scene with gravity and object collision. When = physics are turned off, objects will stay in the exact position where you r= elease them when they are moved.
Gravity: The gravity slider enables you to adjust the l= evel of gravity when physics is enabled.
Object Info: When enabled, properties of the object tha= t the controller is pointing at will be shown, both in the desktop UI and i= n VR.
Animation: If the scene contains animation, the animati= on can be started/paused and reset to start here.
Reset Object Positions: This will reset the object posi= tions and animation to the default values.
Here you can start or join a Connect session. Learn more about KeyVR Connect.
Here you can see the frame rate of the current KeyVR experience. For the= best experience the frame rate should always be equal to (or above) the re= fresh rate of the headset (typically 90hz). If the frame rate is below that= , consider reducing the graphics quality in the preferences, or reducing th= e number of polygons in your scene.
Quality: The quality is by default set to high. Dependi= ng on scene complexity and GPU hardware you may experience low frame rates,= in this case you can decrease quality to Medium or Low in order to keep a = sufficient frame rate.
