The Wood procedural texture allows you to customize the look of your wood materials. Most often, you will want to start out with the plastic material type and change the specular color to white.
ScaleUse this to increase size of the grain. For best results, keep the scale small.

Color 1This sets the base color of the wood.
Color 2This sets the color of the wood rings.
Ring WidthThis adjusts the thickness of the wood rings.
Ring NoiseThis adds random fluctuations in each ring.
Axial NoiseThis adds fluctuations or waviness of the overall direction of the grain.
Color NoiseThis creates random thick and thin areas to give a more organic look to the wood ring.
In this example the wood texture is added both as diffuse map and bump map.
