The Wood procedural texture allows you to customize the look of your wood materials.
Most often, you will want to start out with the plastic material type and change the specular color to white.

General Settings

Scale
Use this to increase size of the grain. For best results, keep the scale small.

Angle
See description of angle on the Move Texture page.

Color 1
This sets the base color of the wood.

Color 2
This sets the color of the wood rings.

Ring Width
This adjusts the thickness of the wood rings.

Variation

Ring Noise
This adds random fluctuations in each ring.

Axial Noise
This adds fluctuations or waviness of the overall direction of the grain.

Color Noise
This creates random thick and thin areas to give a more organic look to the wood ring.


In this example the wood texture is added both as diffuse map and bump map.
